Competition Rules

The competition is only open to full members of the camera club.
The subject for this years competition is to create A Montage of Arundel.
Last season the cup was awarded for a montage of Venice and we thought that a montage of Arundel would make good subject for us all to attempt.
Entrants will receive a registration number; this is to be put on the back of the picture. A title is optional, but no other writing is to be used. The object of the competition is to enjoy visiting Arundel at your leisure and to take a selection of pictures that will be suitable to incorporate into a montage.
Using your computer you should design your own interpretation of a picture depicting the essence of Arundel using the pictures that you have taken.
All pictures must be submitted on A4 photo paper. The printed area on this sheet is at the competitor's choice. A backing board should be fixed on your entry so that it can be easily displayed. Framing mounts must not be used. A form of protection such as a sheet of A4 paper should be put over the picture to prevent scratching during transit.
Only computer software (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro etc.) is to be used to create the picture and only your own images can be used.
No other manipulation or copying of images is permitted. Judging. Every entrant will be invited, on a selected date, to judge the entries.
They will not be permitted to vote for their own picture. If unable to attend on the arranged date a further opportunity will be given within a set period. Entrants unable to vote within this period will have a percentage of their total score deducted to ensure scrupulously fair vote totals.
All of the pictures will be displayed at a club evening after the judging has been completed.
The winner will be presented with the cup at the awards evening.
The competition starts NOW. The closing date is Wednesday 22 March 2006.
The judging date is Thursday 30 March 2006 at Maurice Sims address, 5 Ullswater Drive, Beaumont Park, Littlehampton. Tel: 01903 734178 from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Competitors unable to attend should contact Maurice to arrange another date. The last chance to cast your vote will be Thursday 13 April 2006 after which rule 7 will have to be applied.
