First club's 2008 evening walk to Ferring Rife, West Sussex. 4th June 2008. Ending up amongst the fields of Southern Marsh Orchids in full bloom. Then back for a well earned pint.

Our second club's 2008 evening walk from West Wittering, West Sussex. 11th June 2008. down to Chichester Harbour and East Head sand dunes. Little Egrets in the marshes sighted. Wonderful 'Gods little fingers' of light from the clouds over the water. Then back for the usual well earned pint and packet of crisps.

Our Third club's 2008 evening walk was from Bramber Castle, West Sussex. 18th June 2008. down to the River Adur. A heron was sighted along with bullocks in the field we crossed. Wonderful Cloud formations as the weather changed before us. Then back for the usual well earned pint and packet of crisps at the Bridge Inn. Bramber is a lovely Sussex village with wonderful old cottages which in june are covered in flowers, well worth a visit in its own right. Note: two members are missing from the group Photo Jan and Rita who decided to take the alternative route.

The fourth Walk on a lovely summer evening was from the Spotted Cow Pub and a gentle climb up to Highdown Hill. Notable was the lack of Butterfly's on the downs. Then a stroll back to the Spotted Cow for a Pint and packet of crisps.

Into July now and still the weather is great for walking. Our fifth walk took us from the 'George and Dragon' at Burpham along the top of Perry Hill to view the downs in their summer colours and the fields were edged with masses of poppies. A gentle stroll down to the pub which had a beautiful restored Jaguar XK 150 outside.

Oh Dear our run of good walking weather broke this evening mid-July now and still wind and rain. Because of numbers our sixth walk (Treasure Hunt) was abandoned so Mike took us up to the Arundel park estate. Number of orchids were still flowering. Back to St Mary's Gate Inn for a pint.

This was a special walk and photo opportunity at a huge garden at Watersfield, Upwaltham, West Sussex. well organised by Marion Sweeny. Overcast evening but warm and thank goodness no wind. beautiful extensive gardens and woods with the Rackman downs as a backdrop. Back to the patio for tea and biscuits.

This was a walk we done last year across the rear of Parham House, Deer park, West Sussex. Beautiful summer evening. Stunning views of Rackman Down as a backdrop. Half way stop at the Pub at Cootham with a wonderful leisurely walk back as the days heat cooled to a perfect evening.

This walk into the dark green depths of Angmering Park forest, West Sussex. Lovely late summer evening. The farm Labourers toiled gathering in the cereal harvest. Back to the rebuilt Woodman's Arms Pub at Hammerpot, as we ordered the drinks the rain came down like stair rods, well timed Mike..

This our penultimate walk was very lonesome as only six members decided to go. A pity as the weather changed and turned into a beautiful late summer evening. The forest was quite dry underfoot and birds aplenty. Back to the Maypole at Yapton for a pint and a quick practices at Skittles. Well done Mike.
